Learning Fun in P5
It’s been a brilliant few weeks of learning for our Primary Five pupils. In numeracy, the children have been getting hands-on with measure—creating shapes with metre sticks that had enough perimeter for everyone in the class and heading off on a fun measuring scavenger hunt around the school. They also sharpened their data handling skills by collecting information from Primary Six and presenting it clearly using bar charts 📊.
In literacy, P5 have been exploring poetry, producing some truly wonderful colour poems filled with imagination and creativity 🎨📖. During religion, pupils marked St Brigid’s Day by making St Brigid crosses and creating animations to show the growth of St Brigid’s cloak—a lovely blend of learning and creativity ✝️.
The excitement has continued with their Ancient Egypt topic, which has been a big hit! The children created coded messages using hieroglyphics, designed their own Sphinx, and learned all about life in Ancient Egypt 🐫🏺.
👏 Well done to all the boys and girls in P5 on such a super start to the year—keep up the amazing work!
